MONUMENTAL SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT HIRES KATE BEDINGFIELD AS VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNICATIONS

WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 30, 2017) – Today, Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) announced that it has hired Kate Bedingfield as its new vice president of communications.  As vice president of communications, Bedingfield will report to Ted Leonsis and will partner with the senior business leadership across all Monumental Sports & Entertainment properties to drive awareness, revenue and opportunities for the MSE brands and venues regionally, nationally and internationally

Bedingfield comes to MSE from the White House, where she served as deputy assistant to the president and communications director for Vice President Joe Biden.  Bedingfield has more than a decade of communications experience in both the public and private sectors, including serving as vice president of corporate communications at the Motion Picture Association of America, where she oversaw press strategy and outreach from the association’s Washington office.  Bedingfield has also served as White House associate communications director during President Obama’s first term, communications director for Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s successful 2008 campaign and regional press secretary at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Bedingfield is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and son.
