Verizon Center Club Level Restaurant to be Renamed The PwC Club

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Monumental Sports & Entertainment today announced that the club level restaurant at Verizon Center will be renamed to The PwC Club.  The PwC Club will offer a luxurious and spacious dining atmosphere for fans before and during games, seating up to 150 guests and overlooking the arena floor. PwC will also participate with Monumental Sports & Entertainment in several community programs, including the Capitals Canned Food Drive with the Capital Area Food Bank and the Everybody Wins! Reading Program for the Capitals and Wizards.  PwC will be the presenting sponsor of both the Caps in School and the Wizards Student Achievement education programs.

“Monumental Sports & Entertainment and PwC share values, culture, and dedication to making our communities better,” said Patrick Duffy, senior vice president of corporate partnerships for Monumental Sports & Entertainment. “We’re excited to work with them as they echo our company’s own culture and mission of being a community-focused company that strives to do business while serving a higher purpose.”

As part of the sponsorship, PwC employees will participate with MSE personalities, including athletes, coaches and executives, as part of the Caps in School and Wizards Student Achievement programs. Both programs provide teachers in the D.C. community with lesson plans and educational materials and PwC will be supplementing the programs with financial literacy and educational programming materials to further enhance students’ learnings.

“PwC is proud of its footprint within DC and The PwC Club is another way we are underscoring our firm’s commitment to this market.  Through this expanded relationship, we are deepening our engagement with our clients and our people and having a measurable impact within the community,” said Terri McClements, market managing partner, Washington Metro, PwC.

PwC recently held one of its annual service days at Verizon Center alongside staff from Monumental Sports & Entertainment. Staff worked with the Capital Area Food Bank to compile over 12,000 meal packages for D.C. area youth.
